A partnership based on solidarity: Bestherm joins forces with the Agence du Don en Nature
At Bestherm, we believe that a company is not limited to manufacturing and distributing products: it also has a role to play in society. It is in this spirit that, on 12 August, we donated 310 radiators to the Agence du Don en Nature (ADN), a charity that has been fighting material deprivation in France for over 15 years.
A second life for our radiators
The radiators we donated to ADN are in perfect working order, but had minor cosmetic flaws that made them unsellable. Rather than storing them or destroying them, we chose to give them a useful second life. These units will now be installed in homes that genuinely need them, providing warmth and comfort to families in need.
This initiative illustrates the importance of the circular economy: giving products a new purpose whilst supporting those who need it most.
A tangible impact on the ground
Thanks to this donation, ADN has so far been able to redistribute the products via nine beneficiary organisations spread across eight departments. These local partners will ensure the radiators are made directly available to the families they support.
Beyond the figures, this means better-heated homes, children spending the winter in better conditions, and parents who can face the cold season with a little more peace of mind.
Energy poverty: a major issue in France
In France, energy poverty still affects too many households. According to the National Observatory on Energy Poverty, nearly 3.5 million households report feeling cold at home in winter due to a lack of sufficient means to heat their homes. Added to this is the fact that 1 in 5 French people live in material deprivation, struggling to meet their basic needs.
In this context, access to effective heating is not just a matter of comfort: it is an essential prerequisite for dignity and well-being. Thanks to this initiative, hundreds of families will enjoy better thermal comfort as early as this winter.
Together, let’s keep taking action
This initiative is just one step. Energy poverty remains a reality for many families, and every little helps.
If you would like to help extend and expand this type of solidarity initiative, you too can support the Agence du Don en Nature. Every donation helps give a second life to more equipment and assist even more households across France.
